Media Profiles and Presets

Media profiles and presets

Every gMT profile can contain itself any number of media profiles. In turn, every media profile can contain any number of presets. For example, you may want to create a media profile that creates content for a particular device, let’s say you create a media profile for an iDevice. You will then create one profile on the ‘profiles tab’ an call it ‘iDevice’ or anything you may want. For that particular media profile, you want to add a preset that encodes videos more slowly but with better quality and another that encodes faster but with slower quality. Therefore you create two presets, one called ‘slow encoding’ and another called ‘faster encoding’.

The gMT editor will create a default media profile and with a default preset automatically but you can change their names any time you want.
